VICUG NYC's Special Interest Groups
In order for a user group to survive and be effective, it must meet a
wide range of needs, interest and personal experience. The best way of
managing this is to form Special Interest Groups, or SIGs, within the organization, so
that people can network and work together in ways that are most appropriate
for their specific needs.
As VICUG NYC grows, each of these SIGs will have its own web space,
which you will be able to access from this page. We hope that you will let us
know where your areas of interest lie, so that your
concerns and needs can be addressed and promoted through the group's general
meetings. To begin with, however, here is a list of proposed and active SIGs:
- New users of computers and access technology: the very basics
- Screen Reading Concepts: An Introduction to Text-to-Speech Software
- Low Vision Technologies
