VICUG NYC meets in the Arts & Craft Room of the Selis Manor building on the second Wednesday of every month. Selis Manor is located on the north side of West Twenty-Third Street, halfway between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. Reaching Selis Manor By Subway

The following three lines stop at West Twenty-Third Street. Note that each of the following lines is a hyperlink which leads to specific instructions on how to reach Selis Manor after exiting the subway. Please keep in mind that most of the subway platforms listed below have multiple exits. Every attempt has been made to make these instructions as precise and as clear as possible. Please Choose a Subway Line:
1. C or E to Twenty-Third Street and Eighth Avenue
2. 1 or 9 to Twenty-Third Street and Seventh Avenue
3. F or Path to Twenty-Third Street and Sixth Avenue

What to Do When You Exit the Subway

C and E Trains Traveling Downtown
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your right. Keep on the left side of the stairway. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northwest corner of Twenty-Third street and Eighth Avenue, facing west. Turn 180 degrees and walk east on Twenty-Third Street, crossing Eighth and Seventh Avenues. After crossing Seventh Avenue, continue walking east for half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

C and E Trains Traveling Uptown
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your left. Keep on the right side of the stairway. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northeast corner of Twenty-Third street and Eighth Avenue. Walk straight ahead (that is, in an easterly direction) on Twenty-Third Street. Cross Seventh Avenue and walk half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Downtown 1 and 9 Trains
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your right. Keep on the left side of the stairway. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northwest corner of Twenty-Third street and Seventh Avenue, facing west. Turn 180 degrees, walk east to the curb, and cross Seventh Avenue. After crossing Seventh Avenue, continue walking east for half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Uptown 1 and 9 Trains
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your left. Keep on the right side of the stairway. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northeast corner of Twenty-Third Street and Seventh Avenue, facing east. Walk east on Twenty-Third Street for half a block until you reach Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Downtown (Brooklyn-bound) F Train and the Path Train
NOTE: If you are using the Path Train, you will first have to make your way up to the "F" train level before following these directions. The turnstile refered to is the turnstile one uses after getting off the downtown F Train.
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your right. After climbing a few steps you will reach a landing and a choice of going left or right. Take the left staircase. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northwest corner of Sixth Avenue and Twenty-Third Street, facing west. Walk straight ahead (that is, in a westerly direction) on Twenty-Third Street for half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Uptown (Queens-bound) F train and the Path Train
NOTE: If you are using the Path Train, you will first have to make your way up to the "F" train level before following these directions. The turnstile refered to is the turnstile one uses after getting off the uptown F Train.
After passing through the turnstile, go up the stairs on your left. After climbing a few steps you will reach a landing and a choice of going left or right. Take the left staircase. When you emerge onto the street, you will be on the northeast corner of Sixth Avenue and Twenty-Third Street, facing west. Cross Sixth Avenue, and walk straight ahead (that is, in a westerly direction) on Twenty-Third street for half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Reaching Selis Manor By Bus

Number 10, going downtown on 7th Avenue
The Twenty-Third Street bus stop is just south of Twenty-Third on the west side of Seventh Avenue. Turn right after exiting the bus, cross Twenty-Third Street, turn right, again and cross Seventh Avenue. After crossing Seventh Avenue, walk straight ahead (east) half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Number 10, going uptown on 8th Avenue
The Twenty-Third Street bus stop is located just north of Twenty-Third Street, on the east side of Eighth Avenue. Turn right after exiting the bus and walk to the corner. Then turn left and walk straight ahead (east) on Twenty-Third Street. Cross Seventh Avenue, and continue half a block down Twenty-Third to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Number 5, 6, or 7, going uptown on 6th Avenue
The Twenty-Third Street bus stop is located just north of Twenty-Third Street, on the east side of Sixth Avenue. Turn right after exiting the bus and walk to the corner. Then turn right again and cross Sixth Avenue and walk straight ahead (west) on Twenty-Third Street half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Number 23, traveling crosstown West on Twenty-Third Street
The bus stop is located just west of Sixth Avenue, on the north side of Twenty-Third Street. Turn left after exiting the bus and walk straight ahead (west) on Twenty-Third half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Number 23, traveling crosstown East on Twenty-Third Street
The bus stop is located just east of Seventh Avenue, on the south side of Twenty-Third Street. Turn right after exiting the bus and walk to the corner. At the corner, turn right and cross Twenty-Third Street. After crossing Twenty-Third, turn right and walk straight ahead (east) half a block to Selis Manor, 135 West Twenty-Third Street.

Parking Near Selis Manor

There are two indoor garages between Sixth and Seventh Avenues on Twenty-Third Street. One is located a little east of Seventh Avenue, on the south side of Twenty-Third Street. The other is a little west of Sixth Avenue, on the North side of Twenty-Third Street.

Parking on Twenty-Third Street is allowed after 6pm only.
