Minutes of the VICUG-NYC
Steering Committee Meeting
June 4, 1997

Present: Peter Altschul, Pam Ash, Tom Dekker, Gregory Rosmaita, Janina Sajka, and Ruth-Ellen Simmonds.

Topics discussed included:

1. A review of the bylaws
   
   
2. A discussion of potential topics for presentation at future general meetings, including issues related to educating blind/visually-impaired students in New York City public schools in July (Tom Dekker will contact Iris Torres to arrange this), and "MIDI Basics" in August (Gregory Rosmaita will contact Mike Mendell to arrange this).
   
   
3. An exploration of holding future general meetings on Saturday (no action taken)
   
   
4. Some brainstorming around how to develop an effective program to teach computer skills to blind/visually-impaired people.
